MBAA is able to make an impact in all these initiatives with the help and support of various sponsors.
Our community sponsors have gone and above and beyond to ensure that the tournament is a success as we continually raise the bar to create safe spaces for youth to meet, interact and network.
Prior to the inception of Ball for a Cause tournament, a smaller tournament organized raised money for Cancer Care Manitoba.
Proceeds from the Ball for a Cause Tournament were donated to support an The Council of South Sudanese Community of Manitoba (COSSCOM) that was providing relief to thousands of people affected by the famine in South Sudan.
Proceeds from the Ball for Cause Tournament were donated to Kapsengere Village in Kenya where the community basketball team was mobilizing funds to repair an old outdoor basketball court. MBAA provided the community with seed money and construction is underway while the community mobilizes to raise additional funds.
MBAA raised funds and donated to the African Communities of Manitoba Inc. (ACOMI), to support their Circle of Friends children program in Inner city Winnipeg’s.
